1. Regulated Status
Harnett & Co is an ICAEW Chartered Accountancy practice and, where applicable, is authorised and regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Our professional work is carried out within the framework of applicable laws, regulations, professional guidance and ethical standards governing chartered accountants in the United Kingdom.

2. Professional Standards

4. Anti-Money Laundering Supervision
We are subject to anti-money laundering obligations and may be supervised for compliance with relevant anti-money laundering legislation and professional requirements.
This means we may request documentation and information to verify identity, beneficial ownership, source of funds, source of wealth and related compliance matters before or during the course of an engagement.
- We may carry out identity verification checks.
- We may request additional documentation where required for compliance purposes.
- We may be legally obliged to make reports to authorities without informing the client.
- We may suspend or decline work where regulatory compliance requirements are not satisfied.
5. Professional Indemnity Insurance
Harnett & Co maintains professional indemnity insurance in accordance with applicable professional or regulatory requirements, subject to policy terms, conditions, exclusions and territorial limits.
